Fix & Go handles kitchen updates and repairs in Edmonton: kitchen sink and faucet replacement, small backsplash and tile work, re-caulking counters, cabinet hinge and hardware swaps, range hood installs where wiring and venting already exist, and some appliance hookups on existing connections.
Sinks and faucets
We replace kitchen faucets (pull-down, pull-out and standard), swap drop-in sinks, and reconnect drains and garbage disposal plumbing. Old shut-off valves under the sink are often seized; if yours don’t turn, we’ll recommend replacing them while we’re there, because a valve that doesn’t work is no use in an emergency.
Backsplash and minor tile
A tile backsplash is one of the more satisfying small upgrades. We install subway and mosaic sheet backsplashes in standard kitchens, handle repairs to cracked or loose tiles, and regrout or re-caulk the joint between counter and backsplash. For bigger tile jobs like floors or full walls, a dedicated tile setter is often the better fit.
Cabinets and hardware
- Adjusting and replacing hinges so doors line up and close properly
- Soft-close hinge and drawer slide upgrades
- New pulls and knobs, drilled with a jig so they’re all at the same height
- Repairing drawer fronts and boxes that have come apart
- Installing under-cabinet shelves, organizers and pull-outs
Range hoods and appliance hookups
We install range hoods and over-the-range microwaves where the electrical and venting are already in place, and we can reconnect fridges with water lines, dishwashers swapped like-for-like, and washers. Anything that needs a new circuit, new ductwork through the roof or an exterior wall, or a gas connection is work for a licensed trade, and we’ll be upfront about that from the first message.
Caulking and finishing
The caulk line where the counter meets the backsplash and around the sink is easy to forget about until it’s discoloured or cracked. Water gets into that joint every day. Cutting out the old caulk and running a clean new bead takes about an hour and makes the whole kitchen look tidier.
