Done the way the instructions intended
A lot of flat-pack furniture fails because of shortcuts at assembly. Cam locks that aren’t turned all the way, back panels left off because they’re fiddly, drawers that rub because the frame wasn’t square when the back went on. We build on a protected surface, check the piece is square before the back panel goes on, and adjust doors and drawers so they line up.
Anything tall gets anchored to the wall. Dressers and bookcases tipping over is a real hazard with kids around, and the anti-tip kit is already in the box. We fasten it into a stud wherever possible.
BBQs and patio furniture
Spring in Edmonton comes in a rush, and every long weekend from Victoria Day on, people want the BBQ ready. We assemble propane and charcoal BBQs and patio sets. For natural gas BBQs, the final connection to your gas line has to be done by a licensed gas fitter, so we’ll build the unit and leave that part for them.

Assembly time varies a lot (a nightstand might take 30 minutes, a PAX wardrobe with sliding doors can take most of an afternoon), so the exact model makes a big difference to the price.
