Fix & Go mounts TVs, mirrors, pictures, floating shelves, curtain rods, blinds, towel bars and bathroom accessories across Edmonton. We find studs, use the right anchors for drywall, plaster, concrete or steel studs, and level everything. Bring your own mount or ask us to supply one.
TV mounting done properly
A 65-inch TV and an articulating arm put a lot of leverage on a wall. Mounted into two wood studs, that’s no problem. Mounted with drywall anchors because the studs weren’t where you wanted the TV, it’s only a matter of time. We locate the framing first, then plan the height and position around your seating, so you’re not craning your neck all evening.
- Fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts
- Mounting over fireplaces (with an honest chat about heat and viewing height)
- Mounting on concrete and steel-stud walls, common in Edmonton condo towers downtown and in Oliver
- Soundbars, streaming boxes and small shelves for gear
- Cable management with surface raceways, or in-wall power and cable kits rated for that use
Bring your mount, or tell us the TV size and model and we’ll recommend one. Please check the VESA pattern and weight rating on the box before you buy; it’s the most common reason a mount gets returned.
Mirrors, art and heavy pieces
Large mirrors and framed art are surprisingly heavy, and the wire on the back is often the weakest part. We use French cleats or proper hanging hardware, line up gallery walls so the spacing actually looks intentional, and anchor anything heavy into framing where possible.
Shelves, rods and blinds
- Floating shelves, bracket shelves and closet shelving
- Curtain rods and tracks, including wide and bay windows
- Blinds and shades, inside or outside mount
- Towel bars, toilet paper holders, robe hooks and grab bars
- Vent covers, register grilles and return-air covers
- Baby gates, wall-mounted bikes, coat racks and anchoring tall furniture to the wall
Anchoring dressers and bookshelves to the wall is worth doing in any house with small kids. It takes a few minutes per piece and we’re happy to add it to any visit.
Condo and rental walls
Many Edmonton condo buildings have rules about drilling into concrete or certain walls, and landlords may want approval first. Check your bylaws or lease before booking. If you’re renting, we can use mounting methods that leave smaller holes, and we can patch and touch up when you move out.
